Ethiopiaid Star Supporters

Every now and then Ethiopiaid likes to highlight supreme efforts made by supporters to fundraise and raise awareness of the charity in general.

In the past, star supporters have run their own fundraising event, received sponsorship for participating in difficult events, travelled to Ethiopia and volunteered with one of our partners, or given us a brilliant idea to increase the profile of the charity.

To show our appreciation to these star supporters, we will display their stories on our website to inspire others.

Ethiopiaid Star Supporter February 2010: Rosa Scaffidi

Rosa Scaffidi is Ethiopiaid's latest star supporter. Rosa has raised over $4,000 for the poorest people in Ethiopia, a fantastic effort! Her fundraising activities have included hosting a trivia night for friends and family, and selling delicious homemade pasta to her hungry work colleagues. Rosa created an Everyday Hero page to allow people to support her cause.

Rosa is an IT Manager by trade. In December 2009 she visited Ethiopia to share her knowledge with some of Ethiopiaid's partners. Rosa describes her visit to Ethiopia as an incredible experience. "The people I met were all extremely welcoming, despite the hardships faced by so many." Rosa is continuing to provide IT support to our partners this year.
