Ethiopiaid teams up with BBC World Service
March 9 2009 Project Updates
In December 2008, Ethiopiaid agreed to fund an educational radio programme on BBC World Service called Abugida, which is aimed at tackling the issues of poor reproductive and sexual health amongst young Ethiopians.
With high rates of high rates of illiteracy, internet connection many days travel away and no televisions, rural Ethiopia can be extremely isolated. However many in these areas own radios, and radio is thus seen as a perfect way of connecting to the rural population.
